About This Experience

Embark on a thrilling 4-hour King Salmon adventure on the stunning Knik River, just a short drive from Anchorage. Perfect for all skill levels, this family-friendly fishing trip combines breathtaking scenery with expert guidance. Experience the excitement of landing a King Salmon while enjoying the unique beauty of Alaska's wilderness.

Highlights

The Knik River is special in many ways, namely being the only river in Alaska that has been specifically stocked to provide additional sport fishing opportunity for king and silver salmon! Without the stocking, there would be 0 king salmon returning to the Eklutna Tailrace (via our fishing grounds on the Knik River) for anglers to have an opportunity to catch and keep king salmon. With king salmon struggling across the state, the Knik River provides a convenient and easy opportunity for guests staying in the greater Anchorage are to try their hand at landing one of these magnificent fish!
Aside from its proximity to Anchorage, the Knik River fishery is the only fishery where you can see mountains rising from the ground to heights over 6,000 feet, the Alaska Railroad Train, and the marshlands of the Palmer Hay Flats in one place!
